What is the difference between a public and a private SMS?
Private SMS: Private SMS is...Private !!. You don't need to know the actual mobile phone number of the person you are sending message to - as well, the other person never gets to know your phone number. This way, you can send message to anyone now, even though you have just gotten to add them as your friend.
Public SMS: It's a normal SMS message. Just enter the phone number and send as many SMS as you like. You have your own address book - so you never have to type the entire phone number twice.

What is MyCantos SMS service through luv-line?
MyCantos offers a free and safe way to communicate with other members via your mobile phone.
You can send and receive SMS as any normal SMS, with difference being that you send messages to a members MyCantos ID.
You can send SMS from MyCantos website or directly from your mobile phone.
Who can I send SMS to?
At this point you can send SMS messages (from website or from your mobile phone) to following
- Someone you are connected to (other words, they are in your friend list)
- Anyone you are sending a Canto
- Inviting someone to my Cantos
How do I use up my FREE SMS?
You use up your FREE SMS credits when
- You send SMS to others from MyCantos website
- You receive SMS from others (or have your private messages forwarded to your mobile phone)
- You DO NOT use up your free credits when you send a Canto to
Does my phone number get disclosed to others?
No. When you send someone a SMS from mycantos.com or send messages through MyCantos 9845198451 number (Luv Line) your Phone Number is not known to the recipient. You can continue to connect, network and message with people with confidence and without revealing your phone number.
How do I send SMS to others from my mobile phone?
There are two ways you can send SMS messages to others
From MyCantos.com: Just click on SEND SMS links and type your message.
From your Phone: Send a message to 9845198451 with the user-id of the recipient included in the message.

- For example, if you want to send SMS to a MyCantos user whose userid is myUser, then you can
type something like this in your phone
myUser: how are you today? Shall we meet up for lunch ?
Just ensure that you have the userid at the front of the message and that's it. Your recipient will see the message on his/her phone as follows -
Sender: how are you today? Shall we meet up for lunch ?
Do I have an option to NOT receive SMS on my mobile phone?
Yes, you have option to receive messages in your mobile phone or leave it on your MyCantos web folder as you wish. By default, we only forward the SMS messages to your phone. However, you have flexibility to define what messages (private, public) are to be forwarded to your phone.
You can change these options any time by visiting edit privacy settings area when you log in to the MyCantos.
I do not want to receive messages from some one how do I ensure that?
You have an option to block any or all users from sending you SMS and/or messages/scraps on the portal. You can simply change the privacy settings for this particular person so that they do not get to send you messages.
How is MyCantos messaging secure?
Your phone number never get disclosed to anyone on MyCantos. You can now enjoy sending and receiving SMS to new people without ever have to disclose your mobile phone number to others.
